Riding with Heart, Purpose and Partnership
Gracyn Lamason | A showcase of dedication, skill and passion for horses.
Hi, I'm Gracyn.
A Passionate Young Equestrian
Welcome to my equestrian journey - one built on respect, connection and a deep love for the horse. I’m a hunter and equitation rider who believes that true success isn’t measured in ribbons, but in the quiet moments of trust between horse and rider.
Each time I enter the ring, my goal is to ride with empathy, precision, and purpose creating harmony that reflects the art of good horsemanship.
Through this portfolio, I hope to share not only my growth as a rider, but also my dedication to the future of the industry. My mission is to make a positive impact in the equestrian community — where horses are partners, not robots, and every ride is a step toward better understanding.

My Journey
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. - Proverbs 3:5-6
1
Foundation Years
I began riding at age 10 at a barn that started out well but went downhill quickly - we're all familiar with that story. Over the past two years, I developed strong basics in flat work and horsemanship, learned the importance of ground manners and how to teach them along with stable management fundamentals.
2
Training
I'm currently training one to two times a week under Wendy Trocano at Wendover Place where I focus on everything from technical flat work, Hunter, Equitation and even dabble in the Jumper arena.
3
My Future in the Industry
As a 15 yr old finishing up 10th grade, my goal is to make the most of my junior years. My trainer and I are partnering to focus on moving up to the 2'6" - 3' classes for experience and exposure. I'd love to continue riding throughout college and someday, operate my own facility.
4
Dedication
Pursuing opportunities to work with diverse horses, expand into additional disciplines, and train with many professionals to help strengthen my riding abilities and horsemanship skills.
Training Philosophy
I believe in building partnership through patience, consistency and understanding each horse's unique personality and learning style.
Trainer Influences
My trainer emphasizes classical technique, mental toughness and the importance of being a complete horsewoman beyond just riding skills.
Horse Care & Responsibility
Excellence in Care
I understand that exceptional riding starts with exceptional care. From wrapping legs to mixing supplements, administering medications to recognizing subtle signs of lameness or illness, I take pride in my ability to not only notice but advocate for horses. The horses I have the opportunity to work with trust me because I'm consistently present, attentive and dedicated to their well-being above all else.
Barn Hand
I am currently working 8-10 hours a week at Rebecca's Equine Exercise
Teen Entrepreneur
In Spring of 2025, I launched The Eq Box to learn how run a business and create a business to help support my equestrian dreams.
Grooming
I regularly care for my own horse and client horses by bathing, clipping, hoof care.
Highlights
Testimonials
I have been teaching Gracyn for a little over a year now and can’t believe what an awesome young lady she is. As a rider she is knowledgeable, attentive, and so kind to every horse she rides. She is firm yet gentle and is intuitive about what to do in her lessons. She never blames the horse for any mistake she may have made. One of my first criteria for a good sport is how the rider treats the animal.
Gracyn has been such a wonderful addition to the team. She helps me whenever needed-holding horses, cleaning tack, mucking stalls, etc. That is just the horse part. Gracyn is always polite when I ask her to help the girls she responds immediately with a “Yes ma’m” and heads off in whoever’s direction she is needed. Whether it be doing hair, finding a number, or wiping boots Gracyn is my right hand girl.
— Wendy Trocano, Owner & Trainer Wendover Place

— Brooke Eddy, Owner, Bona Fide Farms

Gracyn is…Hardworking. Attentive. Patient. Understanding. Thoughtful. Trustworthy.
Tamara Marshall, Trainer, Wendover Place

Gracyn will take any horse in the ring and take care of them on the ground. She is gentle and patient. She will treat your horses right.
— Charlotte, IEA Teammate
Gracyn is an amazing rider, who is willing to overcome any challenge. Whether taking green horses around the ring, putting miles on experienced horses, or even bringing horses back from rehab, she can do it all.
— Olivia Manol, Owner, Olivia's Animal Photography & best friend

At just 15, Gracyn is an exceptionally strong and trusted rider whose talents extend beyond the saddle as a thoughtful showman, dedicated sportsman, and intuitive equine therapist. She rides with quiet confidence and ease on any horse, approaching each partnership with patience, respect, and an unwavering understanding of the horse’s individual needs. In addition to assisting younger riders and barns with training, hacking, ground manners, and jumping at all levels, she has spent the past two years personally rehabilitating her own horse through consistent groundwork, strengthening programs, and coordinated medical care.
